School Story
I had so many fun experiences at New Trier West. I loved all of the dance concerts that I performed in, Bye Bye Birdie and Potpourri. The latter was especially rewarding since writing, rehearsing and performing in a student-run production was such hard work but so very rewarding. I remember dancing to a number where we needed to be serious Spanish dancers and the guys in the number before us kept making us laugh during rehearsals making outrageous sounds. When it came time for the show we were like classically conditioned dogs and couldn't keep a straight face. Mr. Smith was very annoyed with us! I also really loved being a Pom Pon girl - especially under the new lights on the football field. Having different activities that I loved was a great way to meet new friends outside of my usual peer group and for that I will always be most grateful.
